Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy at the
University of Wisconsin Oshkosh

Prior to his academic appointment at UW-Oshkosh in September of 2015, Steve was a tenured associate professor of Educational Leadership at Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi (2014-2015), and also a tenured professor of Educational Leadership at Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) in Chicago from 1989 through 2012. At NEIU he also served as Department and Division Chair of Educational Leadership as well as Special Assistant to the University President for two years.

He has also been a high school teacher, principal, and district level administrator, as well as a former school board member in Salem, Wisconsin. In 2010, Steve was his political party’s nominee for the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the western portion of Kenosha County. In April of 2016, Steve was elected to a 3 year term to the Salem School Board, located in western Kenosha County. And, in April, 2019, Steve was re-elected to a new three term through 2022.
